LOCATION: Swadlincote, Derbyshire


HOURS: 21 per week


SALARY: £16,000 (PRO RATA)



Our client is a highly prestigious Training Provider Organisation who operate in the East Midlands Region (Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire), and have numerous Training Centres within these regions.This organisation delivers Training contracts for the YPLA, The Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and The Department for Work and pensions for learners of all ages.
They presently have a vacancy for an experienced Employability Skills Tutor to join their team on a part time basis (21 hours per week) in their Swadlincote training centre. The key areas of responsibility are engaging and teaching young people aged 16 – 18 who are accessing the Foundation Learning programme, employability skills that progress them into sustainable work opportunities via the apprenticeship route.


1)MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:- To deliver a varied programme of Employability Skills to Foundation learners.(Through the City and Guilds accreditation process of Employability Skills)


2)POSITION IN ORGANISATION:- Directly responsible to the Centre Manager


3) SCOPE OF JOBTo deliver a structured programme of Employability Skills to foundation learners who are accessing the Work Based Learning route.To ensure all learners attend the employability skills sessions for a minimum of 4 or 6 hours per week as per contractual requirements.


4) DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY- To organise and plan own time and work requirements- To be responsible for own programme delivery


5) QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum level 3 Teaching qualification - essential- Basic or key skills minimum level 2 - desirable- Basic Counselling Certificate - desirable- Enhanced CRB


6) EXPERIENCE- Minimum 2 years experience of working with unemployed adults or youth and to have an understanding of their issues to include a minimum of 2 years experience of teaching in small groups

On their behalf we are currently recruiting a number of positions: we are looking for a STL (Supporting Teaching and Learning) Assessor to deliver to NVQ L2 & 3 apprentices – full framework including Key Skills (soon to be Functional Skills) and Technical Certificate.

You will be based in Southampton but regularly visit the learners’ place of work, where you will assess, monitor and review, as well as supporting learners throughout their NVQ. You will be expected to liaise with the IV and maintain quality in line with the client’s policies and procedures as well as attending team, verification and standardization meetings.

The successful candidate will hold A1 and it is desirable that you hold PTLLS.

Salary: £19-21k + bonus paid on completions.

Hours: 37.5 but would consider part time for the right person / my client would also be interested in receiving applications from temporary assessors (perhaps with a view to going perm).

Are you an A1 or D32/33 qualified NVQ Assessor in Childcare looking for a new challenge working for a national training provider?

THE JOB

One of the country's largest NVQ training providers is looking for a qualified Childcare NVQ assessor to work on a 6 month fixed term contract. The role will involve assessing and supporting young learners (16-18 year olds mainly) with social or learning needs. Key responsibilities will include:-

Interviewing learners to assess their ability and potential against current programmes/services offered by the Training Centre
Identifying and securing suitable employer placements and ensuring they meet company health and safety standards
Assessing learner skills and identifying needs and support required, in order to produce an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) which is agreed with and understood by the learner. Supporting learners to progress against their ILP
Providing ongoing encouragement, guidance and support to learners and helping them achieve their objectives
Conducting and documenting regular reviews of learner progress against ILP and identifying any changes/actions that need to be made to satisfy learner needs
Meeting agreed targets to ensure that revenue is secured
Involving employers in the training process
Completing all required documentation accurately and within agreed timescales to ensure that contract requirements are met and funding is maximised


REQUIREMENTS

It is essential that you either hold your A1 or D32/ D33 NVQ Assessor qualifications and have experience delivering Childcare NVQ's. As this is partly field based it is essential that you have a driving license and your own transport, and are prepared to travel around the Sheffield, Wakefield, Dewsbury region. A teaching qualification (PTLL'S, CTLL'S, DTLL'S) would be beneficial but not essential.

In return you will be offered a starting salary of £17,040- £18,787 pro rata dependent on experience and qualifications. Other benefits include:

Trainer/Assessor –Retail & Business Admin. - North London – up to £32K + travel expenses

My client is a successful well established provider of education, training and development for young people. They currently seek to appoint a fulltime, permanent Trainer/Assessor to join their team.

The purpose of this job is to support and assess learners in retail, customer service and administration programmes enabling them to achieve certification up to NVQ Level 3. Duties include conducting learner induction sessions to determine NVQ levels, design and delivery of group training, assessing learners to A1 standards and ongoing analysis of training needs.

To succeed you must have the ability to liaise with employers and demonstrate an understanding of their business needs. You will be able to work to targets and have proven IT skills. The following are essential: access to a car and a clean drivers license, no less than 2 years retail and administration experience, A1 or equivalent ,PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification and commitment to study further.

My client is a successful well established provider of education, training and development for young people. They currently seek to appoint a fulltime, permanent Workshop Skills Trainer to join their team.

The purpose of this job is to train and assess basic skills sessions in house, including numeracy, literacy and/or Personal Development/ICT. The role will include the development and delivery of training sessions up to level 2. You will also provide learners on vocational programmes with appropriate advice. You must be able to motivate learners and take an interest in their welfare.

The following are essential: access to a car and a clean drivers license, PTLLS/CTTLS or DTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification, aptitude to work with numbers, tolerance, patience and sense of humour. You will need experience of teaching individuals and groups of learners with mixed abilities, be able to meet deadlines and targets and have the ability to manage discipline in the classroom.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced NVQ Assessor who is keen to move onto Internal Verifying and develop their career with this successful training provider.

Our client, a quality driven organisation that provide training services including apprenticeships, NVQ’s and bespoke training, need a Training Co-ordinator who can train, assess and support a caseload of learners on these programmes.

The role will be based in West London but involves travel to a range of employer premises to coach and assess learners and to conduct formal progress reviews. In addition, the post also has responsibility for delivering training to groups at their main centre and at employer sites.

As an NVQ Assessor, you will hold the A1 Award (or equivalent) and ideally either hold, be working towards or be willing to work towards the V1 Award, and be occupationally competent to deliver Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management qualifications. You must also either hold or be prepared to achieve the PTLLS qualification.

Your performance will be measured against KPIs covering learner recruitment, retention, progress and achievement. It is essential that you have a positive and “can-do” attitude and be able to take on a challenging role in a changing environment.

Our client is offering a salary ranging from £23000 to £28000pa with travel expenses paid at 32p per mile or public transport costs reimbursed.

A CRB will be required for this position and our client will take this up upon appointment.
