We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with previous classroom experience to join a new London independent school which specialises in provision for children with MLD. The school's curriculum blends the core requirements of the National Curriculum with innovative, personalised programmes to meet the individual, often complex needs of each child.

For this role, ideally, the successful candidate will have previous TA experience supporting pupils on a one to one basis and will be familiar with working in a multi-agency environment, involving teachers, speech and language therapists, psychologists and physiotherapists. Familiarity with Makaton would be an asset but not essential.

Children are taught in small classes, with a maximum 8 in any group and each teacher has the support of at least one TA.

Resources and facilities are excellent, with state of the art classrooms, a sensory suite, library and music rooms. There is also a much treasured outdoor play area.
